Includes metric (meters, kilometers) and imperial units (yards, miles, feet for altitude) for distances. Co-ordinates can either be displayed in decimal or degrees, meters and seconds.\n\nUseful for mapping fields in agriculture, plots of land/home boundaries, or for general interest in distances and areas!\n\nFunctionality to drop a point at your current location (GPS or otherwise), and to email the results. Tap briefly to drop points anywhere on the map.\n\nShare your drawing (shape) by email, which includes a file that can be opened on any device with Distance Tool.\n\nAllows the standard map views of standard, satellite and hybrid.\n\nSupports quick altitude calculation without data connectivity. Find out how high up you are! Or see the altitude of ANY point (requires data).\n\nFreehand draw: Draw any shape on the map to quickly calculate area.\n\nFollow Mode: Calculate distance or areas simply by moving!\n\nSubscription terms:\n- The subscription auto-renews at the end of each term.\n- Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase.\n- The subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period.\n- Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period.\n- You may manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal by going to your Account Settings after purchase.\n\nPrivacy policy and Terms of Use: https://applorium.com/privacy-distance-tool","facts":{"developer_id":1688522804,"developer_url":"https://applorium.com","first_released":"2011-11-11T23:09:45Z","support_url":null,"privacy_url":null,"website_url":null,"app_version":"5.3","release_notes":"Bug fixes & improvements","rating_current_version":4.42438,"rating_count_current_version":2215,"star_counts":null,"genres":["Utilities","Navigation"],"languages":["EN","FI","FR","DE","PT","ES"],"content_advisories":null,"device_families":null,"chart":null},"freshness":{"apple_read_at":"2026-10-21T01:48:13.783Z","catalog_read_at":null,"reviews_checked_at":null,"summary_written_at":"2026-10-20T01:32:11.538Z","placed_at":"2026-10-20T01:01:11.528Z","scored_at":"2026-10-21T04:19:12.576Z"},"editorial":{"one_liner":"Measures distances, polygon areas and altitude on a map, with metric and imperial units and several coordinate formats.","what_is":"Distance Tool is a utility app for measuring distances between points on a map and calculating the area of non-overlapping polygons you draw.
