It contains the official text and audio of daily prayers from the Liturgy of the Hours of the Roman Catholic Church (Breviary) and has been approved for use in the United States by USCCB.\n\nThe Divine Office App is designed to make praying more convenient, enjoyable, and simple enough for anyone to use. It automatically downloads the appropriate prayers for each office, every day of the year, including Solemnities, Feasts, and Memorials.\n\nWhen St. Paul advises us in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 to “pray without ceasing,” he intends more than simply bowing our heads and speaking to God on a regular basis. He means for us to adopt an ongoing attitude of prayer that is a way of life and a constant intercession for the salvation of all mankind.\n\nAs the mystical body of Christ prays in unison, it fulfills what Paul advises as Christian conduct, that believers at once pray for the good of themselves, their neighbors, and the world. In this way, prayers become liturgy, a way to fulfill our divine calling and a practical approach for addressing the suffering of the world.","facts":{"developer_id":301349400,"developer_url":"http://divine-office.com","first_released":"2014-11-27T00:41:35Z","support_url":null,"privacy_url":null,"website_url":null,"app_version":"3.2.53","release_notes":"- fixed issue with share button on image of the day screen on iOS 27","rating_current_version":4.9295,"rating_count_current_version":8383,"star_counts":null,"genres":["Reference","Books"],"languages":["EN"],"content_advisories":null,"device_families":null,"chart":null},"freshness":{"apple_read_at":"2026-10-19T09:08:11.725Z","catalog_read_at":null,"reviews_checked_at":"2026-10-16T15:41:49.309Z","summary_written_at":"2026-10-17T21:46:11.610Z","placed_at":"2026-10-16T02:08:51.804Z","scored_at":"2026-10-20T14:39:12.956Z"},"editorial":{"one_liner":"Free Liturgy of the Hours app with psalms, hymns and scripture, audio, and a view of others praying around the world.","what_is":"The Divine Office app lets users take part in the Liturgy of the Hours, a collection of psalms, hymns and scripture that represents the public prayer of the Christian community.
