This allows the user to quickly pick the desired settings without having to scroll on a tiny wheel picker. \n\nThe app is designed to be welcoming to people who are just starting out, with a simple one-button use. But it offers many useful and advanced features for the more experienced shooters/users:\nContinuous metering (by pressing and holding or double tapping the measure button)\nSpot metering with a variable zoom (for more precision) which also supports average metering, and a very intuitive implementation of the zone system\nAutomatic reciprocity failure compensation (for 25+ films, if you see exposure times in red, they are being compensated)\nA dedicated pinhole mode with precise exposure times for user defined apertures (multiple apertures at a time), with the possibility of setting a timer (through a shortcut)\nIncident light metering with calibration when using the front facing camera\nAnd more ...\nIt also includes some other features that are enjoyable by any kind of user:\nBlack and white preview\nThe ability to use any of the cameras on your smartphone (swipe left/right on the preview)\nMultiple presets for your different camera/film/lens setups\nFramelines for previewing your shot, before setting up your tripod etc.\nA searchable list of useful tips to make better use of the application's potential\nA searchable list of more than 70 films to choose from with the possibility of selecting a few favourites\nDark mode support and a useful level of customisation\nYou can find even more info in the tips inside the app or you can have a look at full user manual by tapping on manual (in the settings)\n\nThe app is free in all its many functionalities, but it offers In-App-Purchases in order to support the project.\n\nThe only minor perk you can enable only via certain IAPs is the replacement of the Ad button with a label containing the name of your current preset, check under settings -> coffee for more info.\n\nDon't panic though, even if there's an Ad button it doesn't mean I'm going to show you ads. In fact unless you decide to tap on that button I'm never going to show you any. But if you have a few minutes to spare, watching a few of them sure helps keeping this project alive :) \n\nTry it, and, if you like it, share it with your friends and consider writing a (mini) review ;)\n\nHave a nice day, and good light!","facts":{"developer_id":1509033789,"developer_url":"https://lightme.site","first_released":"2020-05-16T07:00:00Z","support_url":"https://www.reddit.com/r/Lightme/wiki/index","privacy_url":"https://lightme.site/lightmeter-privacy-policy.txt","website_url":"https://lightme.site/","app_version":"3.0.22","release_notes":"• Added support for camera control and control widgets","rating_current_version":4.84647,"rating_count_current_version":951,"star_counts":[14,6,13,46,872],"genres":["Photo & Video"],"languages":["EN","IT","JA","ZH","ES"],"content_advisories":null,"device_families":["iphone","ipad","ipod"],"made_for_iphone_duo":false,"chart":null},"freshness":{"apple_read_at":"2026-11-03T12:58:12.811Z","catalog_read_at":"2026-11-03T15:13:12.918Z","reviews_checked_at":null,"summary_written_at":"2026-11-03T13:11:12.572Z","placed_at":"2026-11-03T14:22:13.348Z","scored_at":"2026-11-03T16:55:12.952Z"},"editorial":{"one_liner":"Lightmeter app showing multiple aperture and shutter combinations, with spot, continuous and pinhole metering modes.","what_is":"Lightme is a lightmeter app for photo and video that displays several valid aperture and shutter speed combinations at once, in the style of a needle and wheel meter.
