Just wake up and bring it away from your bed, AUTO-dismiss!\n• SMART, BEAUTIFUL and EASY-TO-USE\n\nWHAT OUR USERS SAID \n √ Finally! An alarm that irritates me enough to wake up\n √ Exceptional App!! This app is super super annoying... It really gets me out of bed\n √ Love it. It's the best alarm ever\n √ Great Alarm! Been having trouble getting up. No more!\n √ This app is so easy to use, and has all the perfect functions! I'll never be late again!\n\nFEATURED IN THE MEDIA\n √ Definitely one of the more “annoying” alarms to help you get up and out of bed in the morning. – AppAdvice.com\n √ If you are the kind of person who has a difficult time waking up after you’ve turned off your alarm, this app may help keep you from being late for work. - iDownloadBlog\n\nAlso in MacWorld NL, AppsRumors, AppChronicles, etc.\n\nHOW IT WORKS \n\nAs the name \"Step Out!\" implied, the only way you can turn off this alarm clock is STEPPING out of your bed (you still can snooze - in a limited duration). It uses advanced image recognition and step tracking technologies to check whether you’re far away from your bed. \n\nAfter ringing, the app asks you to capture another photo of a specified place, it should be where you usually be every time you wake up, such as the bathroom, the kitchen, ... So you just take a photo and do your routine work like washing your face or preparing breakfast. \n\nAnother alternative is using the step counter, which simplifies this process into just nothing. You wake up and go to wherever you want with the device. After reaching enough number of steps, the alarm will automatically turn off. It’s simply a smarter alarm with no additional action., You’ll love using it from the very first time. \n\nFEATURES IN DETAIL\n\n- MUSIC ALARM \no Wake up with your favorite songs\no Listen to them when moving\n\n- FULLY FUNCTIONAL ALARM \no Easy setup with hand-drawn mini-game\no Repeating rule for daily, weekly alarms \no Built-in alarm sounds \no Snooze, Vibrate, Fade-in & Volume for the perfect experience \n\n- MOTION TRACKING \no Innovative motion tracking system to sense your steps\no Smart anti-cheat system to make sure that you are stepping\n\n**IMPORTANT: We do not encourage our users to step so fast when you are not totally awake, this app will just recognize the steps when you aren’t walking too fast.\n\n- IMAGE RECOGNITION\no State-of-the-art image recognizing engine\no Can match both horizontal and vertical pictures\no Strict image comparison to assure you’re leaving your bed and your eyes opened wide enough to take the right picture.\n\n**HINT: Choose a scene that has a stable light condition for better matching results.\n\n- SLEEP TIMER \no Fall asleep with music \no Auto-lock and ready for next alarm \n\n- FLASHLIGHT \no Easy to find way through the dark when you are stepping\n\n- CLOCK \no Full feature clock \no Show/hide seconds, 24 hour format, ...","facts":{"developer_id":555935811,"developer_url":null,"first_released":"2013-08-11T07:00:00Z","support_url":null,"privacy_url":null,"website_url":null,"app_version":"2.2","release_notes":"Taking the most of all groundbreaking technologies of the latest iPhones","rating_current_version":4.05098,"rating_count_current_version":6100,"star_counts":null,"genres":["Lifestyle","Utilities"],"languages":["EN","FR","DE","JA","KO","PT","ZH","ES"],"content_advisories":null,"device_families":null,"chart":null},"freshness":{"apple_read_at":"2026-10-19T09:08:11.725Z","catalog_read_at":null,"reviews_checked_at":null,"summary_written_at":null,"placed_at":"2026-10-17T04:47:13.399Z","scored_at":"2026-10-21T18:48:13.528Z"},"editorial":null,"memberships":[{"list":"snooze-prevention","list_name":"snooze prevention","list_status":"draft","list_url":null,"position":null,"tier":null,"score":37.8,"components":{"rating":72.5,"votes":78.7,"rank":0,"recency":0},"status":"active","review_status":"checked","list_ranking_status":"under_review","confidence":"provisional","judged_at":"2026-10-17T04:47:13.399Z"},{"list":"alarm-clock","list_name":"alarm clock","list_status":"active","list_url":"https://apptierlist.com/best/alarm-clock/","position":43,"tier":null,"score":54.7,"components":{"rating":72.5,"votes":78.7,"rank":67.6,"recency":0},"status":"active","review_status":"checked","list_ranking_status":"ranked","confidence":"normal","judged_at":"2026-10-17T04:47:13.399Z"}],"main_list":"alarm-clock","claim":{"status":"none","verified":false,"site_url":null,"verified_via":null,"verified_domain":null},"history":[{"id":181292,"at":"2026-10-20T01:57:11.541Z","kind":"tier_changed","list":"alarm-clock","app_store_id":673120263,"app":"step-out-smart-alarm-clock-673120263","from":"D","to":null,"reason":"rank shift: #41, below the tiered top 40","job":"rescore"},{"id":145897,"at":"2026-10-17T09:58:13.422Z","kind":"tier_changed","list":"alarm-clock","app_store_id":673120263,"app":"step-out-smart-alarm-clock-673120263","from":"F","to":"D","reason":"score 37.7 to 54.4","job":"rescore"},{"id":141143,"at":"2026-10-17T04:53:13.387Z","kind":"tier_changed","list":"alarm-clock","app_store_id":673120263,"app":"step-out-smart-alarm-clock-673120263","from":null,"to":"F","reason":"score 37.7","job":"rescore"},{"id":140969,"at":"2026-10-17T04:47:13.399Z","kind":"membership_added","list":"snooze-prevention","app_store_id":673120263,"app":"step-out-smart-alarm-clock-673120263","from":null,"to":"active","reason":"The alarm only turns off once you step out of bed or take a photo elsewhere, and snooze is limited, so it forces you to get up.","job":"shadow"},{"id":140968,"at":"2026-10-17T04:47:13.399Z","kind":"membership_added","list":"alarm-clock","app_store_id":673120263,"app":"step-out-smart-alarm-clock-673120263","from":null,"to":"active","reason":"It is a smart alarm clock built to wake you at set times;
