Each issue addresses some of the most passionate political and cultural controversies of the day and reviews the most engrossing new books and the ideas that illuminate them.\n\nThe print edition of The New York Review of Books, included in the app, is published 20 times a year. The app also includes all of our online-only content. Articles can be bookmarked for later reading, and the app includes a link to browse our shop, The Reader’s Catalog.\n\nCurrent print and online-only subscribers receive full access to the app through existing website login credentials (email and password). The app may also be purchased directly through the app store. Purchases made through the app store do not include access to The Review’s website and complete archive.\n\nSUBSCRIBERS’ AUTOMATIC-RENEWAL FEATURE:\nYour subscription will be charged to your iTunes account at confirmation of purchase and will automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Your iTunes account will automatically be charged at the same price for renewal, as stated above, within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.\n\nCurrent subscriptions may not be cancelled during the active subscription period, but you can manage your subscription and/or turn off auto-renewal by visiting your iTunes Account Settings after purchase.\n\nNOTE: WHEN PURCHASING A SUBSCRIPTION OF THIS TITLE, YOU AGREE TO THE PRIVACY POLICY AND TERMS OF SERVICE WHICH CAN BE VIEWED BY GOING TO:\nPrivacy Policy: https://www.nybooks.com/privacy/\nTerms of Service: https://www.nybooks.com/about/terms-of-service/","facts":{"developer_id":1231571378,"developer_url":"https://www.nybooks.com","first_released":"2017-06-25T17:22:34Z","support_url":"https://www.nybooks.com/about/contact/","privacy_url":"https://www.nybooks.com/privacy/","website_url":"https://www.nybooks.com/","app_version":"25.0.1","release_notes":"Bug fixes and performance improvements","rating_current_version":4.79305,"rating_count_current_version":4460,"star_counts":[119,28,59,245,4009],"genres":["Magazines & Newspapers","Books"],"languages":["EN"],"content_advisories":null,"device_families":["iphone","ipad"],"made_for_iphone_duo":null,"chart":null},"freshness":{"apple_read_at":"2026-10-22T06:38:12.725Z","catalog_read_at":"2026-10-22T06:38:12.725Z","reviews_checked_at":null,"summary_written_at":"2026-10-18T12:59:11.595Z","placed_at":"2026-10-17T11:30:13.805Z","scored_at":"2026-10-23T19:11:13.037Z"},"editorial":{"one_liner":"Magazine app for The New York Review of Books, with its 20-issue-a-year print edition and online-only content.","what_is":"The New York Review of Books is a magazine covering literature, politics, art, and ideas, published since 1963.
