Once a city is downloaded, nearby stops, scheduled departures, route and stop search, and trip planning all work from the data on your device. Real-time predictions are added when the transit agency publishes them and you are online.\n\nUse Transit Tracker to:\n\n- Download the transit schedules you need from the Downloads screen, and update or delete them at any time\n- Download more than one city and see stops near you across all of them in one view\n- Find nearby bus, subway, light rail, commuter rail, ferry, and other transit stops\n- View scheduled departures, with real-time estimates where the agency provides them\n- Search routes and stops and see a route's stops and path on the map\n- Plan trips with the built-in trip planner, then tap any stop to see its departures\n- Save stops, and save trip plans exactly as they were planned\n- Use Apple Watch and widget support where available\n- Choose light, dark, or custom app themes\n\nSchedules come from the transit agencies and are stored on your device. Each download is a one-time transfer of the agency's published schedule; Wi-Fi is recommended for larger cities. Schedule data is replaced when you update a city, and the app tells you when a downloaded schedule is about to end.\n\nCoverage and feature availability vary by region. Schedules, routes, and real-time predictions depend on the data each transit agency publishes.\n\nOptional in-app purchases remove ads. You can also watch a short video to remove ads for an hour.","facts":{"developer_id":445229278,"developer_url":"http://www.ragingcoders.com/MetroTransit/index.html","first_released":"2013-06-18T01:56:02Z","support_url":null,"privacy_url":null,"website_url":null,"app_version":"3.0.0","release_notes":"Transit Tracker 3.0 is a big change: the schedules now live on your device.\n\n- Download the cities you ride in from the new Downloads screen. Nearby stops, departures, route and stop search, and trip planning all run from the data on your device.\n- Download more than one city. Nearby stops show everything you have downloaded around you, with no need to switch cities.\n- A rebuilt trip planner that works with your downloaded schedules. Tap any stop in a plan to see its departures, and expand the map to explore the route.\n- Save a trip plan exactly as it was planned, separate from saving the search, and find it in your Saved list.\n- Routes without a published shape now show a line connecting their stops.\n- Real-time departure estimates from the transit agencies' public feeds, where available.\n- Times and countdowns use each stop's own local time, wherever you are.\n- Remove ads with an in-app purchase, or watch a short video to remove ads for an hour at a time.\n- Many fixes for saved stops, schedules that ended, and stops that showed departures in the past.\n\nSchedules are downloaded to your device the first time you pick a city. Wi-Fi is recommended for larger cities.","rating_current_version":4.49125,"rating_count_current_version":3375,"star_counts":null,"genres":["Navigation","Travel"],"languages":["EN"],"content_advisories":null,"device_families":null,"chart":null},"freshness":{"apple_read_at":"2026-10-19T19:01:11.543Z","catalog_read_at":null,"reviews_checked_at":null,"summary_written_at":null,"placed_at":"2026-10-18T08:15:32.056Z","scored_at":"2026-10-21T06:51:14.431Z"},"editorial":null,"memberships":[{"list":"public-transit-navigation","list_name":"public transit navigation","list_status":"active","list_url":"https://apptierlist.com/best/public-transit-navigation/","position":24,"tier":"B","score":77.5,"components":{"rating":80.9,"votes":75.3,"rank":54,"recency":100},"status":"active","review_status":"checked","list_ranking_status":"ranked","confidence":"normal","judged_at":"2026-10-18T08:15:32.056Z"}],"main_list":"public-transit-navigation","claim":{"status":"none","verified":false,"site_url":null,"verified_via":null,"verified_domain":null},"history":[{"id":178568,"at":"2026-10-19T21:21:11.593Z","kind":"tier_changed","list":"public-transit-navigation","app_store_id":659183692,"app":"transit-tracker-659183692","from":"C","to":"B","reason":"score 64 to 77.5","job":"rescore"},{"id":160614,"at":"2026-10-18T08:27:11.989Z","kind":"tier_changed","list":"public-transit-navigation","app_store_id":659183692,"app":"transit-tracker-659183692","from":null,"to":"C","reason":"score 64","job":"rescore"},{"id":160383,"at":"2026-10-18T08:15:32.056Z","kind":"membership_added","list":"public-transit-navigation","app_store_id":659183692,"app":"transit-tracker-659183692","from":null,"to":"active","reason":"Core purpose: nearby stops, scheduled and real-time departures, route and stop search, and a trip planner for bus, subway, rail and ferry.","job":"shadow"},{"id":157742,"at":"2026-10-18T06:42:11.811Z","kind":"app_added","list":null,"app_store_id":659183692,"app":"transit-tracker-659183692","from":null,"to":null,"reason":"discovered","job":"import"}],"explain":{"method":"Membership is decided by a model judging the App Store listing against the list's definition (and its excludes, for memberships placed or rechecked since they were added to the prompt); every verdict is listed with its date; the score is a plain average of the public components an app has (four, plus Apple's Editors' Choice badge as 100 where shown); nothing is purchasable.","lists":[{"list":"public-transit-navigation","list_name":"public transit navigation","status":"active","review_status":"checked","position":24,"tier":"B","score":77.5,"components":{"rating":80.9,"votes":75.3,"rank":54,"recency":100},"ranks":[{"country":"us","rank":11},{"country":"gb","rank":41}],"verdicts":[{"verdict":"keep","reason":"Core purpose: nearby stops, scheduled and real-time departures, route and stop search, and a trip planner for bus, subway, rail and ferry.","verifier":"claude-sonnet-5-5","decided_at":"2026-10-18T08:15:32.056Z","attempts":1,"current":true},{"verdict":"keep","reason":"Its main purpose is public transit: nearby departures, route stops, real-time estimates and a trip planner for buses, subways and rail.
