AppTierList.
AppTierList is an independent map of the App Store. Each app we rank is placed in the use case it serves and ranked S to F against its neighbours, using only public App Store signals. The map is the catalog: neighbouring areas are related lists, and the apps inside each one are the tier list.
Why a map
The App Store has 24 genres and two million apps. A genre like "Productivity" says little about what an app does. People choose apps by what they are trying to do, so the catalog is organised by use case, 1,274 of them today, and drawn as a map so related ones sit next to each other.
Independence
AppTierList is independent: no app maker, store or ad network owns it or pays for a place in it. Nothing on the site is sponsored, and the ranking is computed, not curated. Read how we rank. What the site records about visits is on the privacy page.
