What is Find My Device & Track Friends?
The app scans for Bluetooth Low Energy signals from nearby devices and shows a radar where signal strength increases as you move closer to a device. A Detector mode tracks devices, sends a notification and sound alert when they leave a detectable area, and records each device's name, distance, first seen time and last seen time. A Broadcaster mode lets an iPhone or iPod act as a tracker, and the history can be shared or saved as a CSV file.
